“South West Blues Club (Deadwater Pelican)

From the dusty plains of the Goldfields rises one of the hottest bands in the State.

The hard-hitting honest style of Something Else has attracted a strong following in their home town of Kalgoorlie and now they’re set to rock the State.

Since July 1987, the four musicians have been gathering a strong following all over the Goldfields, responding to an obvious demand for good professional music which was lacking in the area.

The four players-Steve , Gary , Ric and Brad – have extensive experience in both WA and the Eastern States. Touring throughout WA and NT from Mine sites to Capital Cities keeping the public entertained.

Gary Green vocals, harp guitar and slide guitar. Steve Bennet-Hullin vocals, bass. Brad Mack drums. Ric Bogart vocals guitar. The band has been around since 1987 originating in Kalgoorlie. Brad and Steve have played in many popular bands on the Australian circuit including the Prefects, Orphans, Teddy Bears. Steve has a great love of the blues and played with the Australian Steve Ray Vaughan show and Dr Charlie in recent times. Ric played in bands based around Kalgoorlie before Something Else including M14, Cherry Steel Express and Straight Edge.
