Interview by Bob Gordon
What’s the best thing about playing festivals?
Human electricity!
Do you have a Blues at Bridgetown experience that you’d like to share, either performing or as an audience member?
Last time I played, Frank Sultana did a set after ours. His flight was delayed from Sydney making it a 12-hour transit marathon, he arrived backstage just before his set and he pulled off a killer show without a whisper of tiredness. Absolute weapon!
Where do you feel you fit in musically along the blues and roots scale?
It’s farkin’ rock’n’roll Bob!
What have been the highlights of your music career thus far?
Himalayan Blues Festival in Nepal, twice. Multiple USA tours. These days I’m just stoked my kids enjoy a song before bed. They rock.
What have you been mainly focussing on in 2026 and how is it coming along?
The new album, it’s epic!
What are your plans and hopes for 2027?
Touring the new album!
What can folks expect from your performances at Blues at Bridgetown?
Rock’n’roll the way it’s meant to be done!
