Interview by Bob Gordon
What’s the best thing about playing festivals?
We think the best thing about playing festivals is the atmosphere, the people, and the chance to play your music to a new audience. It’s also great meeting, watching and catching up with all of the other bands. There’s a sense of community in it all, and we’re grateful to be a part of it.
What have been the highlights of your music career thus far?
Since our beginning in late 2023, we’ve released five singles we are very proud of and have played shows across Australia, opening for artists including Fanny Lumsden and Great Gable. We have been part of some pretty cool festivals, including Nannup Music Festival, Man from Snowy River Music Festival and Cuby GrooveFest. We were awarded the Nannup Music Festival ‘Emerging Artist’ award in 2025, and we were also a nominee for the 2025 WAM ‘Regional Artist of the Year’. We went on our first WA tour this year, from Perth to Exmouth too, which was awesome!
What have you been mainly focussing on in 2026 and how is it coming along?
Our main focus this year was our Coral Coast tour in July, which was a great success. We played five shows in nine days and travelled from Perth to Exmouth, stopping at many beautiful venues along the way. We also played our first interstate festivals this year, at the Basin Music Festival (VIC) and the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival (VIC) which were really incredible opportunities for us.
What are your plans and hopes for 2027?
Next year, we hope to keep releasing music and playing live shows. We love playing at new venues, meeting other artists and audience members, and seeing new towns too!
What can folks expect from your performances at Blues at Bridgetown?
We are an authentic band that really likes to tell stories and create connection with the audience, whilst having fun on stage! Folks can expect lots of harmonies, raw lyrics, tight rhythm sections and a real sense of truth and emotion.
