Ezra Lee grew up in Tamworth NSW & at an early age began playing boogie woogie & blues piano. He used his father, Ed Matzenik’s record collection to teach himself boogie woogie & barrelhouse piano styles. He obtained blues lessons from Dr John & Johnny B Goode Johnson when they toured Australia. His piano style within these genres.
At 14 Ezra joined Johnny Green’s Blues Cowboys & toured with them for 6 years. In 2009 the Melbourne Rockabilly label Preston Records released 2 Ezra Lee albums in Feb Out of the Valley & Apr You Can’t Stop a Freight Train.
