The Little Quirks are a young, all-girl trio made up of sisters, Abbey and Mia, and their cousin Jaymi from the New South Wales, Central Coast. Although the girls are quite young they have been playing together for over three years. They have a raw indie-folk sound with a unique blend of mandolin, acoustic guitar and drums (and occasionally cousin Alex on bass). They have a natural ability to produce mesmerising three part harmonies that combine to create their distinct ‘Little Quirks’ sound.
Some of the highlights so far have been sharing the stage with artists Tim Rogers, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Cloud Control, Alex the Astronaut, Sarah Mcleod, Jack River, Mark Seymour, Busby Marou, Xavier Rudd, Dragon, Mental As Anything and many more. Festivals played so far are Lighthouse Folk Festival, Long Jetty Street Festival, Mountain Sounds Festival, Reverb Festival (Perth), Nimbin Festival, Grow Your Own Festival (Forster), Meatstock Festival (Sydney Showground) with more coming up! (announcements coming soon!)
The Little Quirks have so far released two EP’s (‘Where We Hide’ and ‘Suzie Knows’) and a single, ‘Crumbled.
They have had several songs played on Triple J’s Roots’n’all and their single ‘Crumbled’ (released in April) got to number one on the Triple J Unearthed charts. The song was also played on many national and international radio stations including Triple J. So far it has had 500,000 Spotify streams, and rising! (It’s also currently a finalist in a Nashville based international songwriting competition).
