“Now I know many of you may not have had the pleasure of hearing this smoking guitar powerhouse and singer … But I have to tell you this, you WILL be hearing more of this amazing artist. Her performance at the Blues Blast Awards was stunning! Once she started her set, a hushed silence fell over the entire crowd. It was one of the highlights of all of the performances at the awards show.” • Bob Kieser, Blues Blast Magazine
Rachelle Coba is a consummate performer – consistently bringing the house down to cheering audiences around the world by bringing her own high-powered brand of Blues; from soul, to country, to uptown, onto the stage. Rachelle’s take on the blues is unexpectedly honest and mesmerising.
Playing the blues since she was a teenager sitting in with Buddy Guy, she has performed at many festivals around the USA, including Juke Joint, King Biscuit, Riverwalk, and Chautauqua Hills Blues Festivals. She is a favourite performer in the Mississippi Delta, has been a special performing guest on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise, and represented the Wichita and Topeka, Kansas Blues Societies in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee both as a solo act and with a band becoming a semi-finalist in 2013.
Rachelle is heavily influenced by Mississippi and Chicago Blues styles. Her debut release “Mother Blues” was nominated by the Blues Blast Awards for best new debut CD in 2014. She is currently the house musician at Lafayettes Music Room in Florida, the sister club to BB Kings.
