The West Coast Blues Club burst onto the scene with its opening night on 1st August 2001, and over a decade later is still going strong. The club is dedicated to keeping Blues music alive – by providing a friendly welcoming atmosphere to all past, present and future members as well Blues music lovers.
The club has a commitment to providing a venue for like-minded musicians to connect and interact. Every month the club has a different house band – covering a wide range of music from old-school blues – to roots and alternative styles. Every jam has something to offer both players and the public. It’s a load of fun for all.
The club has undergone a very well-received revitalisation and they are currently settling in to their new home at the Fremantle Navy Club. A great venue upstairs on the corner of 64 High Street and Pakenham Street, Fremantle. There’s a huge stage and the bar prices are very reasonable. 🙂
Nick Leach • President – Has always been a Blues fan, became the club webmaster years ago and is now El Presidente. Plays guitar, bass and sings the odd vocals.
Tim Harris • Vice President/Acting Treasurer – Good ol’ reliable Tim. Always ready to get up and boogie, a regular Jammer – on guitar and vocals. Passionate about The Blues, keen to share it and to help new Jammers.
Alan Wilson • A jack of all trades – Always keen to help out with marketing, promotion and anything else that gets sent his way.
Comprising an eclectic bunch of Blues music fans, keen to promote Live Blues to all, “T H and the Esquires” will keep your toes tapping, head bopping and hips swinging! The band members originally met at a jam session and then formed in 2007 to do a one-gig showcase for the West Coast Blues Club. Since that time, the four-piece has performed at many gigs for the club. Carrying a mix of BB King, Freddie King, Canned Heat and John Mayall, you will be immersed in Blues classics. Enjoy!
