Haunting and emotive, through peaks and valleys made of celestial vocals and simply memorable acoustic melodies, Bridgetown songwriter Zoe Ryan will take you on a journey into the soul, the human condition, and with symbolism, poetry and unconventional arrangements, home to a place in time and space you will no doubt want to return to.
An experienced performer and songwriter, over the years Ryan has circumnavigated the country multiple times with band and solo, and has appeared in an extensive list of venues, busking locations and festivals including: Cobargo Folk Festival, Bridgetown Blues Festival, Saint Kilda Festival, The Sustainable Living Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Perth Fringeworld and more. Whilst embodying the troubadour-gypsy lifestyle, Zoe Ryan is also an educated and passionate advocate for the planet and is vocal about the urgency of rapid and necessary environmental change from the individual level. Whilst recently spending time in WA the songwriter penned a song ‘Beeliar’ in support of the wetlands that was contributed to a local compilation. The roaming van-dweller is passionate about mindful, sustainable living, plant-based eating, self-mastery and positive, compassionate communication.
